First Bayanihan Forum In Amerika

We answered to the call of the Philippine Consulate and the Commission on Filipino Overseas when it held the First Bayanihan sa Amerika Conference in Los Angeles last October. This was the first conference of Filipino community centers and associations that provide services and programs to Filipinos in the United States of America or development assistance and donations to underserved communities in the Philippines. This also aimed to develop strategies to enhance Filipino cultural visibility through programs that would promote the Filipino culture, identify ways by which Filipino community centers and associations can assist Philippine development through resources and knowledge transfer, and create more awareness on viable business and investment opportunities in the Philippines. The conference also recognized the Filipino-American organizations' emerging role as a viable partner of the Philippine government in implementing programs for the welfare of Filipinos abroad and in the motherland.
