Fil-Am Chamber LA To Induct New Officers & Board on March 30th
Sherman Oaks, CA- The Filipino American Chamber of Commerce of Los Angeles has recently elected new officers and members of its Board of Directors, and the Induction Ceremony will take place at the Mayflower restaurant in Chinatown on Friday, March 30th, 2012. Realtor Vic Mercado of Coldwell Banker is now the 2012 President. Lydia F. Soriano of New York Life was elected 1st VP/President Elect. Mary Ann Omega (GHCnow.com) is the 2nd VP. Realtor Shirley Lumanog was elected as Secretary, and Roy Taberrah of Royal Placement Services rounds out the officer line-up as Treasurer.
The 2012 Board of Directors is as follows: Gladys Balallo (JDL Insurance), Gemma Bergstrom (World Financial Group), Bob Crowther (Farmers), Nick Delicana (KMD Services), Paul Kao (Prudential) Susan Maranan (D’Aristocrat), Lulu Mercado (Coldwell Banker) Vangie Taberrah (Divine Mercy Home Care) and Mary Trinidad (New York Life). Advising the Chamber are Founders Joe Arciaga (Farmers), Rick Rolda (Real Estate Investor), Leo Maranan (American Healthcare Services), Noel Omega (GHCnow.com) and Immediate Past President Rodel Lumanog (Realtor).
The FACC-LA maintains an office located at the Valley Corporate Community Center at 5121 Van Nuys Blvd., Suite 205, Sherman Oaks, Ca 91403 where it holds workshops, Business Mixers and other special events geared to promote its member businesses. The FACC-LA maintains strong relationships with Valley Economic Development Center (VEDC), United Chamber of Commerce (UCC), LA County Business Federation (BizFed), and the Asian American Chamber Association (AACA). For the past years the FACC-LA has been active in supporting projects with their Community Partners, such as the Asian Pacific AIDS Intervention Team (APAIT), FilamARTS and the Festival of Philippine Arts & Culture (FPAC), Buy Pinoy, Heal the Bay, the Philippine Consulate, and Kalayaan Inc., among others. In addition, the FACC-LA helps people who want to start or expand their business. The FACC-LA sits in the board of the Federation of Philippine Chamber of Commerce (FPACC) and will host the next Bi-national Convention and Trade show on October 2013, in Los Angeles.
